Companies (Management and Administration) Amendment Rules, 2020
Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) had on the 28th day of August 2020, notified Companies (Management and Administration) Amendment Rules, 2020.
The new rules have brought about an insertion of a new provision in Rule 12(1) of the Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2014 which provides an exemption to all companies from attaching the extract of the annual return in prescribed Form No. MGT.9, to the Board’s report, if it has disclosed the web link of such extract of the annual return in the Board’s report in accordance with section 92(3) of the Companies Act, 2013.

News from the desk of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)
It has been directed that Licensing Authorities (State/Central) stay away from seeking additional or irrelevant documents from Food Business Operators (FBOs) leading to their avoidable harassment and undue delay in the processing of applications. The Kind of Business (KoB) wise documents as uploaded on the homepage of the dedicated web portal of FSSAI shall be followed uniformly by licensing authorities in all States/Union Territories.
As the requirement of uploading a signed copy of Form A (application for Registration) and Form B (application for License) by applicants has been done away with, all applicants are now therefore required to upload all documents mandatorily self-attested by the authorized proprietor.
In case of a prerequisite condition of additional document required for grant of FSSAI License by a local body or a State or Union Territory, the same shall be communicated to the public through a public order.
