Interview with Yuki Shoji- Trainee at the Japan Business Desk

„Working for MBC has broadened my cultural horizon. Interacting with my Indian and German colleagues helped me to take on new perspectives, especially in the fields of professionalism and client approach.“, Mr. Shoji Yuki (Japan Business Desk) After completing the first three month of his traineeship, Shoji Yuki took out some time to reflect on his experiences of working at the Japan Business Desk of Mayur Batra Group (MBC) in Delhi: „After graduating in 2017 from Nagoya University Commerce and Business in Japan and my exchange semester in Hongkong, I always had the urge of working in an upcoming market like India. Being a trainee at the Japan Business Desk at Mayur Batra Group (MBC) gave me a deeper insight into the economic ties between India and my home country Japan. Faced with a distinct business culture and language issues, most Japanese companies struggle on the Indian market. That is where our Japan Business Desk comes into action. Working close with Yamane San, my mentor and the founder of the Japan Business Desk, gave me a steep learning curve and a better understanding of challenges foreign companies face here in India. Benefiting from Yamane Sans ten years of experience, I am proud being part of Mayur Batra Group!” Besides assisting his eight japanese colleges at the Japan Business Desk with data maintenance, meeting requests and social media development, Shoji is heavily involved organizing the upcoming Diwali celebrations for our clients from Japan and Germany. Thank you Shoji for your time and providing us with some inside scoop working for MBC!
