MCA allows Extension of Time for Holding Annual General Meetings by Companies whose Financial Year Ended on 31 December 2019
On receipt of numerous representations from the stakeholders regarding the difficulties faced by them in holding Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Companies whose financial year has ended on 31st day of December 2019 due to COVID-19 related social distancing norms and consequential restrictions linked thereto, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has vide General Circular No. 18/2020 dated 21st day of April, 2020 extended the time period for holding the AGMs.
