While there have been no official announcements recently by Qatar in relation to the implementation of VAT, the state is currently expected to implement VAT by first quarter of 2022
What rate will VAT be charged at?
The six states had agreed to implement the 5% VAT regime & signed GCC VAT Common Framework. It is also expected that the VAT framework in Qatar will be based on the common set of VAT rules as listed in GCC VAT Framework.
