Abu Dhabi Programs to Boost Local Economy

April 24, 2020
The State-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced expenditure of Dh18 billion for its in-country value program by it which ensures that local suppliers and companies are engaged across its value chain to boost the local economy.

ADNOC and contractors associated with the firm are expected to significantly increase spending on local goods and services over the coming years as projects enter the implementation phase, the company said.

The ICV program is already making an important contribution by creating business and investment opportunities in the private sector, increasing the purchase of local goods and services and the employment of UAE nationals, and developing the knowledge sector.

Regional oil companies such as Saudi Aramco and Petroleum Development Oman have also started to push for greater connection between their supply chains and local goods and services by making in-country value a priority for contractors engaging with them. In this regard, ADNOC has now approved 12 certifying bodies to verify and measure suppliers’ ICV scores. List of Empaneled Certifying Bodies of ADNOC.

As part of ADNOC’s ICV program, all direct and indirect ADNOC suppliers can obtain their ICV score. ADNOC requires an annual third-party verification of the self-declared ICV score and we are proud to announce that we are now an ADNOC approved certifying body of the ICV program.
