News from the desk of Ministry of Commerce and Industry – Regarding Certificate of Origin

Notification directing agencies who are authorized to issue Certificate of Origin (Non-Preferential) (CoO NP) to also issue Certificate of Origin for all India jurisdiction
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has issued a gazette notification on 18th day of October, 2021 (“Notification”) directing that the agencies as enlisted under Appendix 2E of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20 who are authorized to issue Certificate of Origin (Non-Preferential) (CoO NP) can now issue such Certificate of Origin for all India jurisdiction.
Presently, such agencies are only authorized to issue Certificate of Origin based on the jurisdiction/location of the applicant.
All agencies enlisted under Appendix 2E of FTP-2015-20, who have on-boarded on Common Digital Platform for electronic Certificate of Origin (Non - Preferential), can issue Certificate of Origin on all India basis with effect from 01st day of November, 2021.
Notification directing a list of additionally authorized agencies to issue Certificate of Origin (Non Preferential)
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has vide gazette notification issued on 18th day of October, 2021 (“Notification”) additionally authorized the following agencies to issue Certificate of Origin (Non Preferential):
1. Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs, 8G 8th floor, Hansalaya Building, 15, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi – 110001
2. Urban Exim Care Association, 9, Ground Floor, Ankinini House Near NABARD, Near Usmanpura Garden, Ahmedabad, Gujarat -380 013
3. Federation of Industries & Associations, FIA Bhavan, R-11, New Green City, GIDC Housing Zone Near D-Market, Sector 26, Gandhinagar, Gujarat – 382026
