MCA launches e-Form MGT-6 and BEN-2 in MCA Version 3.0

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), through General Circular No. 04/2024 dated 4th February 2024, announced the launch of e-Form MGT-6 and Form BEN-2 in MCA-21 Version 3.0. The rollout of this MCA Version 3.0 update is scheduled for 15th July 2024.

Transition from MCA-21 Version 2.0 to Version 3.0

During this transition phase, users will experience a brief suspension period in filing activities related to MGT-6 and BEN-2. The upgrade marks a major step in the MCA-21 portal upgrade, aligning with the Ministry’s digital transformation goals and improving the compliance experience for corporate stakeholders.

Cooling Period and e-From MGT-6 Filing Deadline Extension

The circular also provides a cooling period of 15 additional days for stakeholders without the levy of additional fees. This applies in cases where the due date for filing e-Form MGT-6 or BEN-2 falls between 4th July 2024 and 14th July 2024. The MGT-6 filing deadline extension aims to prevent any compliance burden during the migration period.
