Changes in ESIC Aadhar Seeding Application due to e-KYC changes by UIDAI
The Employees State Insurance Corporation (‘ESIC’) on 06th December, 2023, issued a notification regarding Changes in the ESIC Aadhar Seeding Application due to e-KYC changes made by the Unique Identification Authority of India (‘UIDAI’).
The following has been stated, namely:
- The users can now select the date and month in (DD/MM) at the time of seeding. Aadhar details based on available documentary evidence. When the declared Date of Birth matches with the same details in ESIC records, Aadhar will be seeded.
- The functionary handling Aadhar seeding work will enter the date and month in the appropriate column on the basis of the Aadhar card or other documentary evidence of IP/Beneficiary and the Aadhar number will be seeded on the updated ESIC Aadhar seeding application in cases where only Year is visible in the date of birth column after seeding Aadhar details.
- Such cases will be marked distinctly in the profile of IP as declared Date of Birth which may be subject to verification at the time of service delivery or as and when required.
- All blank cases of Aadhar mismatch requests of the last 15 days have been deleted from the backend and all such IPs may be approached again for seeding of their Aadhar No. in the ESIC portal.
