The Labor Department, Government of Delhi, vide Office Order No. F.No.(6)/SAIT/LAB/Online-exemption/2022/4525, launched online services to receive applications for exemption under the provisions of Section 14, 15 & 16 of the Delhi Shops and Establishments Act, 1954 (“Act”).
Section 14 of the Act, prohibits young people, or women to work in any establishment between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. during the summer season and between 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. during the winter season.
Section 15 of the Act, provides Opening and closing hours of shops and commercial establishments.
Section 16 of the Act, provides a Close day on which every shop and commercial establishment is to remain closed.
The services will be available with effect from August 08, 2022, through URL https://bit.ly/3wbUGj6.
