The Ministry of Corporate Affairs ("MCA"), vide General Circular No. 03/2026 dated 08 July 2026, has extended the validity of the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) from 15 July 2026 to 31 August 2026.
Background
The CCFS-2026 was introduced by the MCA as a one-time compliance window to enable eligible companies to regularise pending statutory filings, including overdue annual filings and other specified compliances, at concessional fees while providing immunity from certain penal consequences, subject to the conditions of the Scheme.
Key Update
Earlier validity: Up to 15 July 2026
Revised validity: Up to 31 August 2026
Reason for extension: Restoration and capacity enhancement of the MCA21 data centre following the fire incident on 05 June 2026.
Key Takeaways
Companies that have not yet availed the benefits of CCFS-2026 now have additional time until 31 August 2026 to complete eligible pending statutory filings.
The extension provides a further opportunity for companies to regularise historical filing defaults under the Scheme before its revised expiry date.
Eligible companies should utilise this extended window to ensure timely compliance and avoid exposure to the regular filing fee and enforcement regime after the Scheme concludes.
